Description:

Charles Horace Hamilton (1901-1977): Professor of Rural Sociology from 1931-1936, Head of the Department of Rural Sociology from 1940-1960, and Reynolds Professor 1961-1967. He was elected Fellow in the American Statistical Association in 1956 and received the Oliver Max Gardner Award in 1958. In 1960, he was named President of the Population Association of America. Hamilton is named in Who’s Who in America and the Directory of American Scholars.
