Description:	Carroll Residence Hall (Raleigh, N.C.) Carroll Residence Hall is named for Mrs. Susan Catherine Colwell Carroll (1849-1901), who served as the college's first resident matron and nurse. She died suddenly shortly after the start of the term in 1901. Carroll Hall was built in 1968 and serves as a residence hall for female students.
