North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service: North Carolina Agricultural Extension Service is a cooperative service between North Carolina State University, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University, and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture; located on campus of N.C. State University.
Roadside markets on the trunk highways of North Carolina are being encouraged by Agricultural Extension workers. This market was arranged by two 4-H Club girls as a demonstration of what a roadside market should look like. It was in place during the Farmers' Convention at North Carolina State College last summer.
