Carol Erskine Caldwell (-2006): Carol Erskine Caldwell, wife of former Chancellor John Tyler Caldwell, earned her Masters degree in English from Northwestern University. She taught English in public schools for 15 years and came to Raleigh in 1963. She established the Carol Caldwell Endowment at NCSU. |
