Frank Guthrie, Professor of Entomology and Toxicology.
Frank Edwin Guthrie (1923-1994): Award winning Professor of Entomology and Toxicology, Frank Guthrie was one of the first researchers to study the harmful effects of pesticides. He researched and taught at NC State from 1954 to 1988. Guthrie is the recipient of the 1982 Governor’s Award for Science and the 1983 O. Max Gardner Award.
