Fred V. Cahill (-1984): Fred V. Cahill received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Nebraska (in 1938 and 1939, respectively), followed by his Ph.D. in government from Yale University in 1941. After finishing his degrees, teaching, and serving in the Army, Cahill came to NCSU to act as Dean of the School of Liberal Arts in 1960. Cahill also taught in the Political Science Department until retiring in 1980. |
