Oliver Max Gardner (1922-): Max Gardner Jr. is the son of Oliver Max Gardner. He was elected president of the State College Student Government in 1943. Gardner earned his B.S. from State College and is thought to be the first student in the U.S. to be elected a member of his school's board of trustees before graduating. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. |
