Raymond Leroy Murray: Professor Emeritus of Nuclear Engieering, Murray was involved in the design and construction of State's nuclear reactor. Murray joined the NC State faculty in 1950 and served as head of the Nuclear Engineering Department from 1963 to 1974. Prior to coming to State, Murray was Production and Research Supervisor at the Electromagnetic Separation Plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee from 1942 to 1950. Murray is the 1965 winner of the Oliver Max Gardner Award.
