Charles A. Shields (1922-2004): Charles A. Shields received his degree from Haverford College, Pennsylvania in 1947. Shortly after arriving in North Carolina in 1981, Shields took over as Director of the NCSU International Trade Center. Prior to his move to the Tarheel State, most of Shields’s life was spent in Foreign Service. |
