Estelle T. Smith (-1950): Smith attended Asheville Normal College. Mrs. Smith joined the staff of the Extension Service as Home Demonstration Agent of Wayne County in 1916 and was promoted to District Agent for 34 counties in 1918. She was the first chair person of the American Home Department of the North Carolina Federation of Women's Clubs and was Director fo the Farm Women's Short Course at N.C. State College from 1927 to 1930. |
