Robert F. Stoops (1921-2005): Robert Franklin Stoops received his B.S. in Ceramic Engineering from NC State College in 1949. After receiving his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University and working in the private sector for a few years, Stoops returned to his alma mater as a Professor. In addition to teaching at the University, Stoops was also Director of Engineering Research as well as Director of the University’s Minerals Research Laboratory. |
