Lester C. Ulberg (1917-1998): Ulberg received his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin in 1952. He joined the faculty in the Animal Science Department at NC State College in 1957 and remained until his retirement in 1982. Ulberg was awarded the William Neal Reynolds Professorship in 1979. He was credited with helping pioneer embryonic transplants in animals, which would lead to surrogate motherhood. |
