Bruce Robert Poulton (1928-)
Edward George Manning (1917-): Associate Professor for the Department of the Electrical Engineering beginning in 1947. He received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from NC State.
Henry B. Smith (1917-): Smith received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from N.C. State College in 1938. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1942. Smith was appointed Professor and Associate Dean of Engineering for Research and Graduate Programs at N.C. State University in 1965. Smith was named a Fellow in the American Institute of Chemists Society in 1969.
Lester C. Ulberg (1917-1998): Ulberg received his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin in 1952. He joined the faculty in the Animal Science Department at NC State College in 1957 and remained until his retirement in 1982. Ulberg was awarded the William Neal Reynolds Professorship in 1979. He was credited with helping pioneer embryonic transplants in animals, which would lead to surrogate motherhood.
