Description:

Ralph Mills (1921-): Mills attended NC State for 2 years, dropped out, and was drafted into the army when World War II broke out. During his Army service he carried his camera and took photographs. In 1946/1947, after being discharged from the Army, he attended the School of Modern Photography in New York. After finishing the coursework, he received a call from N.C. State College for a photographer's position in 1947. He has received numerous awards for his photographs. (Staff photographer. Requires permission from NCSU.)
