Description:	North Carolina State University. College of Design Henry L. Kamphoefner (1907-1990): Henry L. Kamphoefner founded the NCSU School of Design in 1948, and served as Dean until his retirement in 1973. Kamphoefner was named Dean Emeritus and continued to teach until 1979. Kamphoefner Hall was named in his honor.
