2005 |
| Description: |
In 2005 Bates had one of the greatest offensive seasons ever by a Wolfpack player with sixty-one runs scored, sixteen doubles, twelve home runs, sixty-four RBIs, a .523 on-base percentage, thirty-seven walks and a .425 batting average. An eighth round draft pick by the Florida Marlins in 2005, Bates chose to return to school for the 2006 season, commenting: "I got a little taste of the ACC last year and I had some fun with it. I went with my gut feeling and never looked back. There is no doubt that I feel it was the right decision for me to make." |
