Leroy Charles Saylor: Saylor received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Genetics from NC State in 1960 and 1962. He was appointed Assistant Geneticist at State from 1961-1962. He became Associate Professor of Genetics and Forestry from 1965-1969 and Professor from 1969-1990. Saylor was also Assistant to the Dean from 1966-1969, Assistant Dean of the School of Forestry, 1969-1974, and Associate Dean of the College of Forestry Resources, 1974-1990.
