1920s

12/15/1922 Men's cross country won Cross Country-All State championship
1923 Track and cross-country teams granted varsity status

1950s

1951 Men's cross country won first Southern Conference Championship
12/5/1952 Men's cross country won second Southern Conference Championship

NC State won its second consecutive Cross Country Southern Conference championship, as well as a Dual Meet championship. Runner Buz Sawyer takes first place in the meet after finishing ninth overall in the nation during a meet the previous week.

1953 Men's cross country won ACC Team Championship

The State College Cross Country team became champions during the first year of the ACC. The team also won the ACC championship the following year in 1954.

1990s

1991 Men's and women's cross country won ACC championships

Both the men's and women's cross country team won the ACC championship. This was first time any ACC school won both the men's and women's championships in the same year.
